We haven’t reinvented hot water, cold water is much more energy efficient.
SEDS operates at low water temperatures and utilises a range of smart technologies. Discover them here.
Smart and CO₂-neutral
To achieve our CO₂-neutral ambition,
renewable energy is crucial
Equally important: using renewable energy efficiently and making it affordable.
That’s why SEDS performs peak power shifting and grid leveling
Energy is stored during low-demand periods and then used again during peak periods. In this way, we create an energy buffer controlled by real-time information, ensuring that energy consumption is perfectly aligned with energy demand.
Lowest TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
With SEDS we want to make CO₂-neutral living possible for everyone
In order to achieve that goal, the system must also be affordable. Or even better: cheaper than classic heating systems.
Combined with a PV installation, SEDS ranks as the most cost-effective system available
Fail safe
The SEDS unit works right from its installation during the structural phase
After that, the operational costs are minimal. It is monitored completely remotely.
Should a malfunction occur, the smart system diagnoses itself and sends a technician on its way
This makes SEDS a fail-safe system. No sudden defects, no headaches.
Low temperatures
Common collective heating installations combine hot water and heating
In the boiler rooms, water is continuously heated to 60 to 70 degrees Celsius. These constant high temperatures are accompanied by high energy use, large distribution losses and relatively low living comfort.
Smart system
SEDS splits up heating and hot water
This allows us to significantly lower the water temperature and adapt it to the seasons. To handle the coldest winter days, 40 degrees is sufficient. During the mid‑season, a water temperature of 25 degrees is enough. And in summer, 17 degrees already suffices. This low temperature provides an additional advantage: passive cooling of the building.
To get hot water from the tap, a higher temperature is of course needed
SEDS provides this by providing each residential unit with its own booster heat pump. This way, we are only heating the water that is really being used. A serious improvement compared to the constant high temperatures in traditional systems.
Legionella-proof
SEDS is a patented, healthy and legionella-proof system
Its innovative construction gives legionella no chance
SEDS works with low water temperatures. This is energy-efficient, but it does present another challenge: the Legionella bacteria. This bacteria thrives in water between 20 and 50 degrees Celsius. Collective boiler systems are therefore extremely susceptible to it. SEDS is not.

A system for this and all future generations
SEDS units are made of recycled material. They are easy to repair and equal the life span of the building itself. Now that’s sustainable building.
